It's Five O'Clock Somewhere

It’s that time of year in the Mid-Atlantic region where boat covers come off and people start dipping their toes in the creeks, rivers, and Bay to see if it is time to hit the water and enjoy some relaxing time with family and friends (possibly with a drink or two in hand). As a PSA, we want to remind everybody to review their owner’s manuals in detail, to have their vessel thoroughly checked out, and to behave in a responsible manner while on the boat.

We see too many avoidable incidents related to marine activity where a little preparation and attention to safety would have prevented significant personal injury or death. Knowing your boat and knowing the rules will help keep your family safe this boating season and will help ensure that we don’t need to investigate an incident you are involved in.

So, enjoy the water but do the work to ensure safety at all times!
